Computational Materials Science

It aims to achieve greater knowledge about the different phenomena of adsorption, absorption, reactivity, diffusion and segregation, among others, that intervene at the molecular level on metallic interfaces, alloys and oxides.

For these purposes, both semi-empirical and density functional theoretical and computational methods are used.

The systems studied are important in heterogeneous catalysis and metallurgy.
